Alexandria Magann leads organic acquisition at Bobbie, the infant formula company. She enjoys doughnuts, dogs, running stupid long distances and feminism.
What are your sun/moon/rising astrological placements?
I am a Taurus sun and moon, Leo rising!
How do you feel your signs have an influence over your work?
I find my signs have the most influence in how I lead teams and projects at work. I care very deeply about the people I work with, and how they're feeling when it comes to their work (and workload). I try to talk through ways we can find better balance amongst our work so we can deliver high quality results while still enjoying our lives :)
Tell us about a favorite scent memory.
The smell of blue tansy is so relaxing, it makes me think of when I used to work at Follain in the South End! If I were feeling overwhelmed, I'd open up a jar of May Lindstrom's Blue Cocoon and just inhale for a minute until I felt calm. To this day it can really level me out.
What color are you really vibing with lately?
Green! I love all shades of green, and right now I love a rich emerald. Maybe because it's my birthstone? Who knows!
What’s something interesting that you’ve read, watched, or listened to recently?
I really enjoy the Unbiased Science podcast and social channels, I feel like I'm always learning with them!
Do you have any magical rituals or special ways you like to unwind in your space?
Like any true Taurus, I LOVE luxury and self care, so my skincare routine is where I indulge the most. I look at skincare as an investment in myself, and since I'm often putting everyone else before me in every other part of my life, this feels reasonable. But I love trying new products, especially facial oils. Massaging them in at the end of the day is such a treat.
What’s something exciting you’re looking forward to this year?
Watching my company grow its product line! Bobbie recently released its second product, a Gentle Organic Baby Formula, and it's been so fun to see this launch in real time! There's so much work that goes into product launches, but as a consumer it feels so effortless. It's really been amazing to experience!
